Portrait Pricing
I am now semi-retired after a long and fascinating career and having closed down my actual studio I now only create environmental images, beautiful outdoor photographs of you or you and your family at your choice of location.
Our session fee is $200 on location but please remember that when you ask me to create a portrait for you, you are granting me the very special and personal privilege of exploring your innermost feelings and emotions and I consider that to be a great honor, but before we design anything we should sit down together so that we can get to know each other and discuss the type of portrait that you would like.
What type of portrait are you interested in?
Is it to be a personal portrait for your family history?
Do you want it to be dramatic or casual?
Is it to be a gift for a very special person?
Do you want it to be displayed proudly on your wall for all to see or is it to be included in that special family album to be shown on your coffee table?
We need to take all these things into consideration before we make any decisions.
Are there children involved, perhaps pets?
Do you have a talent or hobby you want incorporated?
Since this is to be an outdoor portrait do you prefer to have it created at your own choice of location or would you prefer to allow me to choose the location for you?
Then of course we need to decide what everyone will wear.
Will this be a Winter or Summer occasion?
All these things need to be taken into consideration before we can decide upon a price that will be satisfactory to everyone. So, by all means, let us get together and chat before we make any decisions.
It will depend on how you want your portrait finished and the size of that portrait that will govern the final cost to you.
And so you see, it is far more than just asking "How much is an 8 x 10?"
